Zhejiang has an age-old history and colorful cultures, and is one of the cradles of Chinese ancient civilization. Inside its border are found 100 historical sites dating back to the Neolithic period, including the over 7000-year-old Hemudu culture, 6000-year-old Majiabang Culture, 5000-year-old Liangzhu Culture and Kuahuqiao Culture.
