Introduction

Liuheng Town Scenic Area, located amidst the Liuheng Town, Putuo District, Zhoushan City, consists of 105 islands in total, resembling a string of pearls in the East Sea. Reputed as the National AA Level tourist spot, it takes a large land area of 113.86 sq. km., and becomes the third greatest island in Zhoushan and the greatest town in Zhoushan.

Liuheng Archipelago boasts abundant tourist resources, including grotesque rocks, towering green trees, all kinds of delicious seafood and fantastic island landscapes. Here, the uniqueness of the island is described through fishing ports, fishing villages and fishing activities, and the longevity of the village is implied through ancient temples, ancient paths and ancient battlefields. The scenic area is made up of three tourist zones, Longtoutiao Holiday Beach, Xuanshan Island Tongluoshuai Resort and Families on the Sea. It has developed a lot of tourist activities, such as wild fishing on the sea, ecological waxberry plantation as well as hand picking of oranges, and preserved dozens of historical relics, such as Wang Anshi Temple, Zhang Xiangshui Retreat, Taiping Army Ancient Battlefield and so on.
