Introduction
As a place to admire the thousand-year terrace view, Fuzhishan Mountain boasts the Lingnan Terrace, which is surrounded by Dongcheng, Liangzhai, Pingshan, and Dingshan ancient villages. With an area of 2300 mu (1 mu is about 666 square meters) these layers of terraces have created an magnificent landscape. In addition, they are all built by the rock-glacier-stones of the quaternary glacier.
Graceful terraces and hard rocks are a fantastic combination. It’s said that if all the stones were put in a line, the length would reach nearly 3000 kilometers. When experts from Beijing came to investigate Shangyu, they praised the Lingnan Terrace for rivaling the Yuanyang Terrace in Yunnan Province.
Tips: If you choose to drive to Shangyu, you can take Hangzhou-Ningbo highway, drive down the highway at Zhangzhen exit, head along the Fengzhang Road, pass along Lingnan, Qingshan Village, and Baihu Mountain, and finally stop at Shaohua Ling.
