Introduction

Dongji Island isn’t a single island or even an official name. It’s the general name given to all the islands in Dongji Town, Putuo District, Zhoushan City. The official geographic name is Zhongjieshan Archipelago. Located in the Eastern China, it’s surrounded by the East China Sea.

Dongji Island is far away from Zhoushan and 45 kilometers away from the Shenjiameng. With 28 various islands and 108 diversified reefs, it boasts not only rich and primitive fishing village charms but also fabulous landscapes, bright sunshine, blue sea, fantastic reefs and tender sea breezes. What’s more, there are plenty of alluring attractions such as Miaozi Lake, Qingbang Island, Dongfu Island and Huangxing Island. In addition, it was the key filming location of the movie The Continent.
