West Lake Sightseeing Bus Night Tour Service is On!

Recently, West Lake Sightseeing Bus has introduced its night tour service and adjusted its original operation hours from 18:00 to 20:00. In doing so, Hangzhou citizens and tourists can ride the sightseeing bus to enjoy the enchanting night views of West Lake while enjoying the cool summer night breeze. You can either enjoy the night views of the West Lake on the bus or get off at a certain stop to tour around the West Lake, all at your choice.

It's learned that the sightseeing bus will stop whenever people want to get on or get off. Citizens and tourists are recommended to get on the bus in Hubin Area, where seats are abundant. The bus passes by No. 1 Lakeside Park, Qingbo Gate, Jingci Temple, Su Causeway, Autumn Moon over the Calm Lake, the Broken Bridge, etc. You can either get off at a certain stop or ride the bus for the whole length, both of which will yield a great result.

There are certain rules that you can follow to make sure that you don't miss out the special night views of West Lake. On Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, at 19:00, the light show with the theme of "Ink and Wash Painting-like Jiangnan" is available on the north and south shores of the West Lake and decorative lights on landmark sights including Chenghuang Tower, Leifeng Pagoda and Baochu Pagoda are on as well. 

By getting off at the stop of Yue Fei's Mausoleum, you will find the performance venue of "Enduring Memories of Hangzhou" is just a few steps away. You can also choose to get off at Children's Palace, No. 2 Lakeside Park or No. 5 Lakeside Park, where you can board a West Lake night cruise boat to view the scenic area from the center of the West Lake. If getting off at a certain point between No. 1 Lakeside Park and the park of Orioles Singing in the Willows, you can walk to Nanshan Road to enjoy its signature light views. After the bus tour, you can get off at Children's Palace to get to the lively Wulin Night Market to savor Hangzhou delicacies and buy some Hangzhou souvenirs and special gadgets.

You can purchase the tickets for the night sightseeing bus while getting on the bus. Groups choosing to charter the buses are required to make a reservation one day in advance.

Ordinary bus model: 10 RMB per person per ride, 40 RMB per person for the whole length; 

Quaint bus model: 20 RMB per person per ride, 80 RMB per person for the whole length.
